I'm one the biggest defenders here. But I also think it's bad to be blind to the fact that people who aren't passionate or well-meaning about their dogs gravitate towards pitbulls. When it's the most popular thing to do, it's gonna attract really shitty people. Regardless of what it is. Sadly, in this case, it's a living breathing thing that is influenced directly by it's surroundings and capable of hurting people when poorly influenced. The goal for me is to bring down harsher punishment on bad owners. People who overall focus on the dogs are idiots who just give the real problem (the owner) an easier out tho. I think it's easier on them mentally too. Takes way less thinking to just do away with something they never had an attachment to in the first place. They don't care who loses in the process, cause it's not them.
