Phil says the online population of the Street Fighter collection died because he didn't play for two weeks. You might say he's obviously exaggerating or joking, which I too would assume.

But then he finishes off with "I was afraid this was gonna happen"

So no, he's being serious and peak narcissist.

He plays the game ONCE a week for 2 hours max. The game was alreadycon life support and it's not like no huge game released recently, right?

I know it's become a meme that every big new release is going to rejuvenate his channel, but I think he was really hoping that Elden Ring would drum up the kind of excitement other FromSoftware used to generate. Instead, while it's preformed better than anything else he's played lately, it still hasn't brought in huge money, and this has left him salty. Probably doesn't help that he's being handheld through the entire thing while also being overleveled. He's demanding to be paid $150 a stream to play the game in the least entertaining manner possible.

This game was supposed to save Phil. But rather than actually play the game, he holds pre-streams for 90 minutes, plays the game a bit and moves on. He never capitalizes on anything.
