What would you have wanted to see and hear from an adult who was supporting you while you were transitioning or when you were questioning?

I work with hard to serve youth as a youth care worker. Many of my youth are already disenfranchised from being part of the social services world and many identify as a gender different from their sexual identity assigned at birth.

I want to be the best ally and support possible for these youth and coach my staff to do the same. What would you have found most helpful from Cisgender people in regards to your gender identity?
