Wired is still the best performance wise, especially if you play games on the computer. The only real downside to wired is *someone's* big dumb feet catching the cord and tripping them up while sending the computer (and anything else on the table) crashing to the floor.

(Tripped on both my mouse and keyboard this weekend and hurt several things including my back)

Wireless is fine if your just surfing or doing non critical work stuff that doesn't really require time sensitive clicks (especially the old legacy programs you can get by with just a keyboard) but the susceptibility to interference, the input lag, and the straight up batteries dying constantly, make them impractical for anything but casual use.

With the exception of the trackpad, the rest are just variations on the wired / wireless options.

I will say the trackballs are pretty neat, but they are horrible to keep clean.
