I definitely gave up too easily but I have thought about trying to get back into it lately. Yeah that sucks, I thought that was like the main job of the bootcamp people hah. Well beyond that, you can find a local tech recruiter who will place you. They are super predatory and "free" because they work for the employer, not for you. But it's a great option for the very first step.
