Steel is also orders of magnitude stiffer than bullet proof glass. Maybe I'll look at the study later for fun if I can get access. Guide posted... so like, at the same volume? Elastic modules and yield strength are material properties, both in force per unit area. So to find the yield force of a particular beam or something, you just multiply by the cross sectional area.
