Super Mario Maker: I completely fell in love with this, logged around 600 hours in and made 30+ levels. A couple absurdly ambitious levels took me 30+ hours to create individually. Shame that I didn't feel the same way about the sequel. Despite its plethora of new tools, creating levels was just not near as fun without the system of having the Wii U gamepad and TV to bounce around on simultaneously. Truly a perfect fit for the Wii U.

Breath of the Wild: My Switch says I have 420 hours in here, and that's only in 2 playthroughs. My first playthrough stretched to almost 300 hours on its own. Ended up doing almost everything here, though not quite all the Korok seeds (think I got 600 something). But I fully upgraded every armor piece, did every stupid sidequest even as they added more, and would just continue to play this thing non-stop because it has the best exploration in any game ever made. My second playthrough on Master Mode I merely did every shrine and every divine beast, like a sane person, but it includes the DLC and I still put another 100+ hours in.

Halo 3: Almost definitely my most played multiplayer game of all time, but I have no way of knowing the hour count sadly. I certainly put hundreds and hundreds of hours in this back in the day though, and they just consistently supported it with awesome new maps and weird new community-made modes and I always came back. Damn, Halo 3 was just so good. And hey, I'm currently addicted to Halo Infinite's multiplayer right now. Time is a circle.

I do wonder if games I played all the time as a kid might actually make this list, like Smash Melee or Perfect Dark, but my best guess is these are my correct top 3.
