I think this is kinda oversimplifiying it a bit, the relationship, as weird as it is, does sorta go both directions (to what degree depends exactly on the personality of the streamer mostly, not really something you have a say in as a viewer). Across various streams/people I've basically witnessed direct evidence contradicting the first 3 of these, and sorta the last one as well. though "enitled" is a bit of a strong word that makes this statement pretty much always true even if they generally don't mind or even enjoy talking about it

it's a fascinating thing to participate in but it's healthy to keep in mind that at the end of the day you're never going to actually -know- the person behind the avatar or streaming-personality unless you're in the habit of watching IRL friends, and it's for the best that you don't, really. Distance accordingly.

and I say that as someone whose favorite content in this space is the gang just being -weird- talking about stuff as opposed to any of the gaming side of things.
