Nene, Suisei, and Towa's Christmas 3d Live happening in an hour. It's gonna be a banger. I think it's already guaranteed. These three have easily the best movement in 3d, and Suisei and Towa are Holo's best singers, so yeah it'll be a bangero. Nene in general is no slouch. She's been doing some really active dancing and not losing a breath. Probably has the best stamina, cuz a lot of her 3Ds seem like genuinely one chained performance to another without a cut, so they're most likely live. Then again, there's Suisei who's done a 2 hr solo song and dance show live. I think it's easy to consider them legitimate idols. It's crazy cuz it's not even all that they do.

Wow... Suisei's rendition of Towa's original Palette is... Man it's incredible how much of a legitimate singer she's become after all these years. I mean I always did think she was better than most of the relatively more amateurish singers in the vtubing community and even considering the idol scene as a whole. But like a year and some ago, I had a lot to criticize about her singing, and she got rid of almost all of it. I'd say the only gripe is that she still hasn't cleaned up finishing her note, but that's something that's incredibly difficult to do during movement, let alone live because it can go wrong and prematurely end note not in an attractive way.

I mean I actually have a lot of singing knowledge myself, so I can probably say with a certainty that she's probably the best vtuber singer I've heard. I haven't heard everybody, and there are several people that I think are actually quite good that are full dedicated singers and barely a streamer, like that Kyo? something something girl that Mememe and Suisei did a trio live with a band that I thought was pretty good but, the thing about singing is that there's a massive gap between people who sing with clear tone and strength vs. people who simply just sing. Quality when looking at singing professionally kinda comes down to the strength and consistency most of the time. And people just don't sing like Suisei because they haven't learned to professionally maintain their vocal chords while emitting proper energy. You gotta learn to position your tongue properly, learn how to sing uncomfortable tone and pronunciation with proper vibrato and the correct tempo on the vibrato. It's not something that you can just casually take up and not even realize that what you're doing is imperfect or even care that it is imperfect. It also has a bit to do with natural talent too, but it's something that can be taught, you just don't know what's gonna come out of the end of it.

Nene's rendition of Ghost was pretty good. I guess it's more of a cutesy rendition lol, even though the song is a bit sad at heart.

Also on a random note, I still don't understand Japan's ambivalence to properly harmonize. They're so used to just singing in tandem, and it kinda sounds terrible to me tbh.

Unless some RNG hijinks happens, group B is most likely gonna lock Aqua/Suisei/Towa getting out. They just have far better natural skill level, though I haven't seen Koyori or Laplus play. HoloJP in general on the top end is significantly better than the global Holos from what I see, just off like pure ELO too. Aqua is also incredibly consistent. Honestly it was a slight fluke that Suisei took it, but it made for a much cooler story. Suisei has really good sense but she doesn't know as many little optimizations as Aqua does. Her sense tends to get her ahead a lot of times though, and she's always been the sort to excel under pressure. Towa is probably mechanically closest to Aqua though.

Either way group B was basically just a bunch of sacrifices after those 3 were confirmed lmao. Last year had Suisei/Okayu/Towa/Marine group too, and yeah the rest were sacrifices.

I'm waiting for a Matsuri redemption arc, but things have been a bit weird I think streaming wise for Matsuri. It feels like she's been favoring karaoke and talk streams more than usual and collabing less. I feel like her... drama had a lasting impact. Hopefully she's ok

umoP is Pomu using a generic VR Chat model and using full body tracking to record the dances being shown during karaoke. She was originally planning for the whole stream to be in VR but that got cancelled because her fan-made model was having issues and her manager told her to wait on it.

Yeah but a difference between like 8000~12000 ELO player and 2000~4000 player is astronomical. Sui and Aqua are in the 8000~12000 category, dunno if Aqua managed to get higher but Suisei didn't keep climbing. If there are like 2 great players and 10 decent players, the great players get 1st or 2nd almost every time. In their for fun sesh, an unpracticed Suisei still managed to get 1st or 2nd in the room every single end of the 4 rounds, Towa getting the most 1st and also didn't drop below 2nd.

It's only around a similar skill level where literally anything can happen. Otherwise there's only so much like 1-2 seconds of knockaway is actually gonna do anything

That was the original plan, she practiced dances and was going to do the stream in VR before the issues hit. Instead she used the, slightly scuffed mind, recordings of her practicing the dances for the VR stream and basically threw em up as a gif when she was singing the songs.

Towa and Suisei just dropped a mixed cover that they sang live in the Xmas concert

It's so fucking good. Suisei used to struggle with putting strength in high notes, but here she's pretty much a professional. You can just turn on one of her older higher pitched songs and compare it to this. I think Comet would be a perfect comparison, where now it doesn't even feel like they're the same artist. Also she's completely weaned off relying on falsettos. I think in the recent concert she kinda showed that she hasn't been using falsettos in a while, and that's absolutely a good thing. Literally everybody can do a falsetto but not everybody's able to sing on the high end of their pitch range

Towa is of course what might be considered a contralto, the lowest pitch classification for female. I dunno if she's exactly that low, and she's certainly not exactly training to be one, but a person's range is literally just a bodily structure diff. But she harmonizes low perfectly here.
