What's worse, it tends to be sex where neither partner knows anything about birth control or STI's, so you get higher STI rates and teen pregnancy rates in areas that prioritize abstinence over comprehensive sex ed. It's not impossible that your cohort actually did end up waiting until they were older, but that's very much the exception, not the norm, especially when they're being over the head with "if you have sex you'll get pregnant and die." --- This is my signature.
