Yeah I dont really get it either. It's not exactly a hot take or a ground breaking revelation to say that Pokemon plays things very safe, has found a low effort formula to pump out yearly games, and sells a shitload. That said, it's not like these games ever get aggregate scores that paint them as masterpieces. Pokemon is certainly never going to crack the top 10, or even top 100 list on metacritic. So it's not like their review scores mean much in the grand scheme of things anyway Hell, I just took a look at metacritic. There's not a single pokemon game above 90.
