I love Mistborn but I understand that some people don't like the writing. I agree on The Name of the Wind. I recommend Bakker's Second Apocalypse series if you're okay with very dark fantasy. It's the only thing I've read where the worldbuilding comes close to Middle Earth and the political intrigue comes close to ASoIaF. --- I am the Cheese! I am the best character on the show!
