1. How did your favorite ability place?
- Yo-Yo is my actual favorite ability, so it coming in 3rd is really good. Smash Bros was more backed out of novelty since it seemed like Yo-Yo was always getting reliably saved, but I still like the ability itself a lot.
2. What could I have done to improve the Save My?
- There are a few things I could say about this, first is that you don't need to feel compelled to put out a new topic right after one ends. It's good to have some break in-between rounds to avoid the contest fatigue for both you the host and the participants.
- The other thing is have the final round not be a first to X amount of saves. The problem with it is that it gives people that come to the board somewhat late no say at all in the outcome and only those that happen to be on the board around the time when the final round goes up decide the winner of the entire contest. That's why typically final round in Save My Contests is whoever has the highest amount of saves in a 24-hour period. The one downside to that is that yes, you typically will get people who never participated in the contest before (but are regulars to the board) suddenly showing up for the final round, but that's something you just can't avoid. The first to 10 was probably ok for something niche like Kirby abilities, but for something with more wide-appeal like Smash Assist Trophies, I think a 24-hour final round would be more fitting.
3. Will you be participating in Save my Smash Assist Trophy?
- If I see the topics and remember to make a save, yes I will.
4. If yes, then who are you looking forward to saving?
- There's a lot I could back here. Might be prioritizing Ghirahim and Nikki.
Just a little warning about Smash Assist Trophies, you could be seeing dead periods early in the contest because there are lot of unknowns in there from really obscure stuff (and the fact that most people play with items off and may not even remember what some of the assist trophies even did). So you may want to consider eliminating the last two remaining in the early rounds to get through them quicker.
