You do know you can still get and spread the virus while vaxed right?

And you can get into a car crash while sober. That doesn't make it morally excusable to increase the risk of doing so for no reason.

I never said that. I dont believe in vaccine mandates. If you want the vaccine, go and get it, but the mandates are wrong on several levels.

You've been actively fearmongering against the vaccine and downplaying its effectiveness every time you find some cherry-picked piece of data that might possibly support such a position. Don't pretend for one goddamn second that you're only objecting to a perceived government overreach. You're afraid of the vaccine. You just lack the integrity and/or self-awareness to admit it, so you try to convince other people that your fears are more legitimate than they ever will be.

And the worst thing about that? Being afraid isn't unreasonable. There's plenty of room for legitimate concerns and skepticism around these vaccines. But there are just as many supports available to help you understand the situation better and feel more comfortable, and you're refusing all of them because you don't want to admit to being afraid. You see that as shameful or weak, and in your foolish pride, you've placed more value on proving yourself right than on accepting a truth you don't like. Being afraid isn't unreasonable, but the moment you made the choice to cling to that fear and lie to yourself and others to defend it, you lost any claim you had to the sympathy or compassion of others.

Be concerned. Be skeptical. Ask questions to help you understand the situation better. But when you get an answer that you don't like, don't accuse people of lying, and don't lie to other people to make yourself feel better about your concerns.
