- Chrono Trigger (This is such a genuinely interesting concept for an RPG that it's impossible to dislike it. It manages to get a lot of things right: random battles can at least be avoided, the playable cast is big enough to feel diverse, yet small enough to not feel like characters are getting ignored or overlooked, and it tells a unique concept for a story by utilizing time travel throughout the history of the world in question. This is just a really solid game overall, and it might just be the best thing Square has ever made.)

- Left 4 Dead (I like this better than the sequel. The setting was better for sure, and fighting your way through a city just feels more interesting than a weird amalgamation of gimmicky settings. I makes the threat of overwhelming zombies feel that much more believable. Plus, the characters are interesting in their own regard, and the five special zombie classes feel like they're all the game really needed. I just really enjoyed my time playing this game overall.)
