Yeah the writers of the MCU had Ego use the term Celestial unchallenged in GotG2 for the lulz and to make sure audiences were even more confused during Eternals. That makes so much sense, he doesn't seem just like the ones in another movie so it was fake news!

That was 8 years ago. The Ancient One and Dr Strange and constantly talked about the multiverse in Dr Strange, when it was referring to something else. And then Strange referred to the same multiverse in NWH referring to something else.

As I said, at the end, we only have Ego's word on this. Especially since he's not a Celestial in the comics. Even then, we were shown Celestials were full body giants all the way back in GotG 1 with the head and Eson the Searcher.
