Topic	JRPG characters you always use even if they aren't great.
Isquen 01/13/22 2:29:45 AM #9:	Hmm... From Final Fantasy: 4 - Edward (in games where he's allowed.) He goes from "literally spawned video game Bard tropes" to "fuck your undead, fuck your dragons, fuck my party's white mages." 6 - Gau. Experimenting with other rages is "fun." 9 - Freya. Not the WORST party member (Eiko, I'm glaring at you) but in the bottom 4, despite having access to a guaranteed 9999. 10 - Kimahri. I typically just build him like a speedier Auron by double-dipping in Auron and Rikku's grids and... well, it's favoritism, but it just works until you get to the levels where Yuna is benchpressing everything with 9 healthbars, and by then literally everyone else is busted too. 13: Vanille. I just love the fact they made "debuffer" a core role in the game and I wish more FFs would do it, and she is basically the best one of your group. Also, she's not as inherently hateable as some of the other dickheads in your party (Hope... Snow...) Tactics: Rafa. Caused me so many game overs, but I still did. Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones: Amelia. Yes, it is favoritism. No, it isn't wrong. (Then again, the only character in this game I haven't succeeded with after babying was Knoll, his luck is just... so bad. SO bad.) Path of Radiance: Mist. A Mist that manages to get Strength is just... just beautiful, even if her promotion comes so late. Likewise, Rolf, who transfer-saved and literally soloed most of the endgame in Radiant Dawn. Radiant Dawn: Meg. She is SO BAD that I can't help but feel sorry for her and make her useful as she sprouts her Pegasus wings in her fat armor. (She's still better than Fiona, who not even Paragon can save.) Fates (Conquest): Nyx. Caused me more resets than any other unit. Persona 4: Chie. Kinda bleeds over into Arena and/or Blazblue x Tag Battle where I pair her with Akihiko and have them do a punchy party. Persona 5 (not Royal, where he got better:) Yusuke. That might've been because I was a bit leery of half of the rest of the early team, honestly. If I could've feasibly run the full game Joker/Yusuke/Makoto/Ryuji and benched the others, I'd have been all for it. I'm struggling to think of other JRPGs I've played (without interchangeable characters or solo characters) and I'm really struggling.
