There's often overlap between their symptoms, to the point where many people will colloquially treat colds and the flu as being the same thing, but they are nonetheless distinct viruses with the potential to cause very different illnesses in serious cases. BEERandWEED posted... So some get sick but test negative and some don't get sick but test positive? Is the test accurate? Like pretty much any lab test, Covid tests do have the potential for false negatives (I believe it's ~9% for PCR tests), but generally that just means some people who are sick with cold/flu symptoms are sick with something other than Covid (such as a cold or the flu). --- This is my signature.
