Current Ranking:

  1. Silent Hill 2 (Far and away my favorite survival horror game of all time. The gameplay is a little janky, but that's kinda par for the course with the genre. The atmosphere and storytelling in Silent Hill 2 is amazing though, and unlike Silent Hills 1 and 3, where the main character feels like your standard everyman who happens to have a connection to the town, James Sunderland has deep, emotional traumas, and that's reflected in how Silent Hill warps to suit his mindset. It's just an extremely good game overall, and James Sunderland is one of my favorite video game characters, full stop.)
  2. Star Fox Adventures (I got so invested in this game that I had to go out and buy a new Gamecube controller for my Wii, since I got to the fourth world with the river race, and my joystick wouldn't go far enough to give me the proper speed to win the race. That being said, this is only really memorable for introducing Krystal, and maybe if she'd been the main character, she would've gotten into Smash by now. I don't see how she's not already.)
  3. Final Fantasy X

Haven't Played:

Metroid Prime
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Sky
Suikoden 3
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (I've played it enough to get off the plateau I think, but it's just too wide up and there's not enough linearity for me to enjoy it. I need more structure than this game is able to provide.)
