It's by far the easiest game in the series mechanically too. They changed and removed a lot in order to make the controls more accessible for new players. Everything outside of the actual hunts is more complicated and obtuse though. Also easily one of the shortest MH games. MHW is probably the easiest as far as menu work and builds/equipment but is one of the hardest mechanically (late game, early game is easier comparatively).
