More often than not it's that a person has multiple wallets and they transfer money from wallet A to B, then B buys an NFT from wallet A for several Ethereum, then the guy tweets about some amazing profit he made with the sale, all to try and get some poor sap to see it and think the NFT is actually worth something. Basically just FOMO combined with dishonesty and actions that would be illegal if done with things that are actually monitored by legal enforcement.Makes sense from a grifting perspective, sort of like with Bitcoin after the silkroad went down for the second time.
