And that dates back farther then ctrl+c being "Copy to clipboard".I was gonna say this but I can't remember if that's what it does in Linux or not. also until recently, windows command prompt had its own issues, actually maybe related to the ctrl-c is copy issue. an administrative command prompt would for some reason not accept ctrl-c to terminate, so if you did something like setup a continuous ping (ping -t) you would not be able to stop it. (though it would still print out the stats when you hit it which I think I now realize must just be a part of ping.exe to listen for ctrl-c and print stats just before dying.) instead of ctrl-c is copy, there's the mark and copy system instead (which is actually more useful anyways), but it also varies depending on which command prompt you're using.
