Credit cards used to suck when you couldn't access a current statement within seconds. You had to keep your own running tally before then if you were going to use it regularly. You also had to mail in a check like a week before it was due to avoid late fees. On top of that, you had to note that you had an uncashed check in the mix to avoid bank fees if you ran your bank account low. It was a lot of book keeping work.

Now they're so easy to use that you're only paying interest in an actual emergency situation or negligence. It's so much better now.
