But you should utilize them. The problem comes when you have an awful bank. If you have a competent bank and can manage all your cards through them, all you are doing is transferring balances every month, very manageable stuff. Then at the end of the year you can redeem your points. I mean, it is a no brainer here to use them but you have to use them on your normal every day purchases and not to floss on people. If you spend $10k/year on stuff it can pay for your phone bill every month. With those savings you can invest it into a mutual fund and end up with 5%-15% more at the end of the year.
