I picked her up on the 5th. I immediately put her on my cities subreddit and my local NextDoor. I found through those that my state has a dedicated lost/found pet website where I posted her.
That same day I took her to the vet to see if she was chipped, she was not.
All of that was done within 6 hours of finding her.

Then the next day I took her to the local animal rescue to be photographed and put on their website as well. They chipped her for free and said that if no one claimed her within 10 days she'd be ours and we could register her chip under our name.

What else would you like me to have done?
