First of all, it'll never happen now, because Square can't recycle assets from an old game. But why would you want it in the first place? You already know the entire story. There are zero possible plot twists or exciting events. And if one was added, it would surely just screw up the timeline, MGS interquel-style (hope I'm not ruffling any feathers among the MGSV crowd here).
