FF characters being phased out of KH: This makes complete sense to me. KH was born in that narrow stretch of time when FF was at its apex and Disney was its nadir. By the time KH3 rolled around, FF had sunk back to being a B-list series, while Disney was as popular as ever, so it makes complete sense for the lesser series to be phased out.

Auron's illegitimate daughter: The worst and most fanfictiony trope ever is a dead character having a daughter he never mentioned before. Are you paying attention, Harry Potter? Anyway, I looked her up, and it's not even clear if she really is his daughter. But I have difficulty believing Auron fathered a kid and then just left.
