Sinking City was a 5.5/10, I'd say. Great premise and detective work, but there was too many dialogue-free fetch quest side cases that took you through copy-pasted ruins. There wasn't even anyone you had to deliver the items to at the end. I wouldn't be against them trying something like it again, but they'd have to really be aware of what worked and what didn't. Frogwares has mostly made Sherlock Holmes games, so making an open-world game with monster encounters and crafting was quite different for them.

I've currently moved on to another game, Alba: A Wildlife Adventure. It's a bright, colorful, relaxing game where you play as a kid on a Mediterranean island, photographing and helping out the wildlife, cleaning up litter, and getting petition signatures speaking against the construction of a mega hotel. It's got a great art style that really enhances the atmosphere. I also like that your guidebook lets you listen to an animal's call so you know what to keep an ear out for. It's short, but definitely worth playing for how simple, wholesome, and relaxing it is. The devs based it partially on their own childhood summers, so there's a degree of authenticity to it.
