It wasn't story as much as set-up. Keep in mind they had to bundle in lore from 1.0 while fixing the huge mistakes they did. They also had to re-establish current characters like the scions while introducing new characters. On top of that they had to weave in three city-states and their stories/politics along with all the beast tribes. Thats not even taking into account the main lore which is the primals, Ascians, Hydaelyn and Zodiark, and the warrior of lights role in everything. So yeah I could understand why it would be painful, don't get me wrong. Edit: Totally forgot Garlemald, Binding Coils of Bahamut and Crystal Tower. Seriously, they had to go over the fall of Dalamud and what the Garleans have been doing to Eorzea, as well as characters like Nero, Louisoix and Gaius. Yeah fucking hell, now I'm typing this all out its a wonder how they managed to fit everything in. --- ... Copied to Clipboard! |
