Doug Christie is still assitant coach and Bobby Jackson is head coach of the G League team and has been doing well. I would HOPE they transition Doug and Bobby to be the head and assistant respectively, but the issues are in the roster. As much as I think Marvin can succeed they had to move him. They had to make up for Vlade's mistakes that Walton was still trying to work with. Fox, Haliburton, Mitchell, they can work together, and even Hield can make it work. but they need to figure out everything else.
