Was finally in the right mood to watch something less actiony or funny and watched what is out of blue period. It is pretty good...but I still don't understand the appeal of fine art at all. It's ironic to me that the anime art itself looks much better than the fine art in the anime and if you lined up the "good" pieces with the "bad" ones, theres no way I could pick out which ones are which.

The highly motivated character and wanting to find new techniques to express yourself though reminds me a lot of bakuman. It's definitely a solid show but I think I really need to be in the right mood to watch it.

I feel like this season has been one of the rare times where I completely misjudge the season ahead of time and the actual good newcomers were two I didn't even have on my radar while everything I was keeping tabs on ended up being mediocre or worse (only talking about newcomers here). It's not so bad for it to go like this.
