Yeah it's meaningless. Our corporate tax rate is already above that. The issue is with the definition of income. Companies have gotten very good at becoming very valuable while generating no income whatsoever.

IMO if you want wealth redistribution, you're more likely to succeed using inflation as a soft tax, paired with directed distributions of newly printed money - i.e. pay more newly printed money directly to the poor and let it trickle up.
