Yes she is attractive and wore cute outfits but there was a point to that since Light is pretty much a nerd/loner and he has this freaking bombshell all over him but he doesn't give a fuck. pegusus123456 posted... Yeah, I never got the vibe that Misa was meant to be fan service. I figured she was the Japanese equivalent of a ditzy valley girl and the conflict was someone like that forcing herself into Light's life. By the creator's own admission, Misa was made so that the series wouldn't be such a sausage fest. He thought people would find it boring if the series was always cerebral, and therefore Misa is braindead eye candy whose stupidity makes for a convenient and lazy plot device. --- I don't hold grudges.
