TopicMy coworker's dog has cancer. It's bad, and he still won't do the right thing.

You'd be surprised (or maybe you wouldn't) how many dog owners cling to their dog with every last ounce of their strength.

My Mother-in-law is that way. She had a previous dog who had cancer that she spent a lot of money to have the dog's leg amputated, knowing it wouldn't only give the dog maybe 6 more months to live.

Now she took in a new dog who was old and unhealthy when they got it a few years ago. Now the dog has tons of different lumps, her teeth are falling out, she's partially deaf and she has trouble staying on her feet on slick surfaces. She still won't put the damn dog down. It's insane to me and my wife.
