One of the first miners out tells the meia he was higher up than others so his trek up the ladder was shorter,,, He said the 1850 foot level climb began where it took him in total 2 hours and 50 minutes to get out with breaks every 40 minutes to take a breather. He said it was a long trek and hard on the arms and it wasn't alike a cave in or out but just a long ladder.
