The majority of projectile characters have ridiculous boxing tools that are better than a lot brawling characters (Pac Man's smashes being superior to many for one). If a mechanic was in, that'd encourage more risk reward with zoning than bullshit like with Young Link where he can throw out projectile after projectile risk free. The point is these "projectile characters" are not dominating the meta at all.
