If there's a video of the performance, I'll take that into account as well but if not I'll just judge the song 4. If it originates from a musical and is sung by a character(s), it definitely counts. If it comes from a musical episode, segment, or parody in a usually non-musical media, that counts (like See My Vest from the Simpsons). If it's actually part of a performance in-story and it doesn't relate to the character's own story/thoughts/feelings, I reserve the right to deduct points or discount it. --- Into the woods, but mind the past...
