| ultimate reaver 09/24/21 5:51:19 PM #6: | I don't think there's any bigger disparity in the slasher genre between the original movie's quality and the sequels than Halloween. The first movie is an excellent little exercise in ramping up tension with a great soundtrack and oozing atmosphere. Halloween 2018 is also very good. Every other movie in the series is either so bad its good (2, 3, Ressurection) or outright just horrible (4, 5, 6, H20, both rob zombie movies) The only comparable franchise that might have had an overall worse time is Hellraiser --- I pray god will curse the writer, as the writer has cursed the world with this beautiful, stupendous creation, terrible in its simplicity, irresistible in truth ...
