Battles were prone to turning into slogs, so while it did put a damper on it, I still really enjoyed battling as a whole. The rest of the package was mostly fine, though I was most disappointed in the world. Part of that was my own incorrect assumption that the game was a school RPG and not an RPG that happened to take place within what is a school. Because the game takes place in a mostly deserted school, it never really gets a chance to shine, and there wasn't much to do in terms of exploration.
