I can vouch for this. I did automotive for 3 years, just quit a couple weeks ago to start doing TA work.
It was hot, sometimes brutal physical work (maybe less so in a place where F-350s aren't seen as commuter vehicles). Oil changes are hot as fuck during the summer, and changing tires will wear you down.
All that aside, I'd still highly recommend it over being anywhere else in the store. TLE is generally seen as it's own thing that management (aside from those specifically over TLE) don't really mess with. It's one of the few places in the store where it's super easy to just step out for a smoke without anyone noticing lol
Plus I think they're the highest paid associates that aren't management
