Also, it's a little weird that some people feel the need to vigorously defend her against criticisms like "this was tacky and performative". the closest analogy that currently comes to mind is Bagism, which basically amounted to John Lennon and Yoko Ono getting married in a bag so no one would know what they looked like. it's not activism; it's performance art.
