XD They added him to Sonic X because they just wanted it to appeal more to Japanese viewers, which was stupid as Sonic was never popular in that country and an anime wasn't going to change that. Anyway, if that "Nazo" pic was actually Super Sonic, then why would they just call it "Nazo" (mystery) in the image file? Everyone knew what Super Sonic was. Better yet, why does it look so different to how Super Sonic normally looks? At the very least, it must have been a scrapped redesign for Super Sonic, but it looks more like it was intended to be a new form for Sonic altogether. Adding onto this, here is the second pilot, which showed "Nazo" (mystery): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U-g6ddIz50U The actual Super Sonic also appears in this pilot. Iizuka wants us to believe Nazo was just Super Sonic all along, but why would there be two Super Sonics in the same video? For fuck's sake, the image is called "Nazo" (mystery); if it was just Super Sonic, then there was never any real mystery, was there? I believe that Nazo probably was Sonic given the generally similar appearance combined with the trademark grin, but it was more likely a brand new transformation for him. --- Da GOAT Fam 2021!
