Sonic X was just doomed when it was decided that it would go in this direction. Season 3 was slightly better in how it got rid of most of the humans, but it still had Chris's bitchass. Oh, and the antagonists were downright terrible; they look like they're from some shitty giant mech anime, which doesn't suit Sonic at all. Sonic games sucked in the 2000s, so of course an entire anime series in that decade would have been terrible. Not that anime was ever good, though; a Sonic anime now would probably suck as well. Take a popular character out of their setting and plop them on regular earth, and split the screen time between cool adventures and a boring audience surrogate. For the same marketing reasons that their name was initially kept (and has since backfired) they should be dissolved - it may already be too late for NiGHTS (and I really hope it isn't and they manage to turn it around, which with Iizuka-san's passion for the project is a possibility), but for the good of the company's image; for the future of Sega's other prestigious IPs and lastly for its iconic mascot it needs to be done... before they release another Sonic game with a transforming Evil 'Night' Sonic who looks like a werewolf and can stretch his arms out Dhalsim-style.
