she was very much in the public eye, speaking out, and being heard before this.

And I'm not saying "this is genius". It's a stunt, absolutely. One of several, including when she went on Twitch to play Among Us.

But pretending like this stunt means she's abandoning ideals (or never having them in the first place) because she showed up to a fancy thing with millions of eyes on it is, I feel, dishonest.
oh I'm sure she does have ideals. the point is that those ideals are safe and defanged to the extent that they will not, cannot meaningfully threaten the status quo -- just as "tax the rich" is a safe, defanged version of "eat the rich"
