No need to invest; if you're running that stuff out of your router, a cheap unmanaged switch will work fine to expand wired capacity. I can't imagine an eight port switch would cost much, even off a Best Buy shelf. I'm gonna probably get myself one for the Pi, I keep my mobile devices wireless but still prefer to hardwire whatever I can, so my modem is about all used up between my consoles and my TV. Gotta leave room for when I get my own file/media server working again, or just give in and upgrade to something modern lol
My media server currently has dual 10 gigabit uplinks but bottlenecked by the router. You know of a unmanaged switch that can give me 10gb ports cause when I get a network switch, that's what I'll be looking for. Lol
