KCF0107 09/05/21 4:12:26 AM #280: | AFC Playoff Picture Playoff Teams 1. Oakland Raiders 12-1 (AFC West leaders, clinched playoff spot) 2. Tennessee Titans 9-4 (AFC South leaders) 3. Miami Dolphins 9-4 (AFC East leaders) 4. Baltimore Ravens 6-7 (AFC North leaders) 5. Portland Express 9-4 (Wild Card #1) 6. Kansas City Chiefs 9-4 (Wild Card #2) Playoff Contenders 7. Denver Broncos 7-6 8. Columbus Pioneers 7-6 9. Pittsburgh Steelers 6-7 10. Jacksonville Jaguars 6-7 11. New England Patriots 6-7 Eliminated from Playoff Contention 12. Buffalo Bills 5-8 13. New York Jets 5-8 14. Indianapolis Colts 5-8 AFC North 15. Cincinnati Bengals 4-9 16. Mexico City Browns 4-9 Patriots own a tiebreaker over Dolphins, Chiefs, and Titans in a theoretical situation where they are all 9-7, but any loss/tie or wins/ties by Dolphins and at least one of Chiefs/Titans ends their playoff hopes. Jags are in a similar situation as Pats, just a different combo of teams. A Titans win and Pioneers loss would clinch the AFC South for the Titans A Dolphins win/tie and Pats loss or tie would clinch the AFC East for the Dolphins. Raiders clinch AFC West and bye with a win/tie or Express loss/tie, home field through playoffs with the previous plus Dolphins loss/tie. Browns are eliminated with a loss to the Ravens. Because of a potential 3-way tie scenario, I believe that the only surefire way for the Bengals to be eliminated is with a loss and wins by both the Ravens and Steelers. There are probably elimination scenarios for Broncos/Pioneers beyond losing and wins by the 9-win teams, but I'm not going to delve into it now. --- KCF can't actually be a real person but he is - greengravy If you smell what the rock is cooking he's cooking crap - ertyu ...
