Topic	Did you know the McDonalds ice cream machine is broken on purpose?
adjl 08/25/21 2:16:29 PM #42:	I didn't end up actually having it, but I'd presume it's mostly just bits of chocolate and coconut mixed into the ice cream, which is easy to make at home. The cream from nanaimo bars is just a basic american butter cream with custard powder mixed in (or egg yolks, if you're feeling fancy), and that's not exactly something that can be added to vanilla ice cream (heck, swap the butter for cream and freeze/churn it and that is vanilla ice cream, albeit much nicer stuff than you'll get from McD's), so I expect they just add a bit of yellow colouring to make the ice cream look like it's the right colour. --- This is my signature.
