So when are we getting a traditional vaccine so we can actually do something about stopping this? Clearly mRNA isn't doing as much as we hoped for and it looks like we'll have to find a new solution that actually does something to stop the spread

AstraZeneca is a "traditional" vaccine. It's less effective than the mRNA ones.

You can still get the virus if you have a vaccine. Just like you could still get the flu with a flu vaccine. It does, however, dramatically weaken the symptoms you'll face. I don't know how people like TC still haven't grasped this after all this time. Cognitive dissonance is fierce.
