I know everyone is different, and some people are horny rascals into their 90's (at 90 my grandfather had a big get together for his birthday and he was dating 3 girls at the same time!!), but for me, my already fairly low sex drive dropped drastically in my mid to late 40's. I was already a demi-sexual (even if that wasn't a known term back then for the most part) and never into casual sex, but before 40 or so, I still wanted to be ina sexual relationship etc (with my wife at that point).

Once she passed though, i was over 40 and even though I've dated a bit, there is no urgency to knocking boots with someone anymore. If I had never had sex by the age of 40, I probably would never have started.

Even as a Demi-sexual when I was 19 I HAD to know what it was like because everyone made such a big deal about it. That is the only time I did a casual hook up, and while it was enjoyable, I didn't think it was worth risking pregnancy for etc.

Didn't have sex again till I met my wife 7 years later (though we certainly had sex alot before we got married).

Anyway, how anyone can ignore all the talk etc about how GREAT sex is and how much effort people spend trying to have it etc, and NOT have sex throughout their late teens and 20's, I don't know....but if you can make it all the way to 40 and not do so, I just don't see the point of starting.

Since I also think we seriously need population control, people who don't want to have sex (or people who at least ensure they are not going to create babes) I think are actually help save the planet and should be commended.
