| CoolCly 08/14/21 10:04:37 AM #229: | I really like Desperado. It's the exact right kind of meaningless action. A lot of movies (including movies yet to be revealed on this list) have gratuitous violence that doesn't really mean anything to the plot or the characters AND it's not really done in a fun or engaging way just for itself. It's just violence. At best, it's there to shock you. The violence in Desperado often doesn't have meaning to the characters (though sometimes it actually does!), it's mostly just mindless killing, but the actual choreography and movement throughout these scenes are so engaging and fun, filled with gags and suspenseful moments, that it's elevated from meaningless violence to a key element and the highlight of the film. I think this is a GOOD MOVIE --- The batman villians all seem to be one big joke that batman refuses to laugh at - SantaRPG ... Copied to Clipboard! |
